Mr. Hartman,
What a boon to Hunterdon County genealogists your work will be! Can you tell us if a copy of the CD will be available for purchase when you are done?

The first issue was dated March 24, 1825 and it ceased publication when it was bought out by "The Democrat" in July 1866.

The items include marriages, deaths, advertisements, public notices, legal notices, political notices, letters at the postoffice, etc. All items containing a name or an article of interest to the county are reproduced in their entirety.

I'll publish a notice if this gets to be too much for me since I am spending at least 40 hours a week working on the project. When completed we will have a CD available in addition to the hard copy. Eventually, a hard copy will be available at the Hunterdon County Library on Route 12.

The group runs between 10 and 20 members and we share our interests and problems. Come on out! Next meeting scheduled for Feb. 22 in the large room in the basement of the first building facing Route 31.
