Dear Mr. Hartman,
Thank you so much for your generous posting. If you get the time, I have a
brick wall that I could use help with. The family I am researching is the
Van Camp family. My direct descendant is Kiple Van Camp who was reportedly
born in Hunterdon Co. Sept 22, 1822.
According to an article on his children, he was the son of Isaac Van Camp and
Margaret Kiple Snyder. Both of his parents died when he was young, His
father, before he was born, and his mother when he was about 11 or 12 (about
1833/34). He was raised in the house of David Armstrong after his mothers
passing. I have not been able to verify any of this. I have been in touch
with a cousin recently who has been at this alot longer than I have, but what
he has found says that Isaac Van Camp died about 12 years before Kiple was
born and couldn't be his father, so now I am really confused!!!
So thanks so much for the offer! If you can shed any light it would be
great.
Sincerely,
Amy Gonzalez
