I don't know what to say. Maybe they charge more when they do the copying
for you? I had a digital camera with me and took pictures of the pages
which were of an interest to me. I took 20 pictures. When I left I told
the lady at the desk how many pictures I took and she gave me a bill. I
still have the bill. Let me get it ...... I was charged $12.50 (my change
was $7.50 ... that's why I was thinking I was charged 7 and change). The
itemization shows 10 copies at .75 per page and 10 copies at .50 per page.

One of the items on the bill is label "reason for copies: Genealogy
Research". Maybe if you tell them you're doing genealogy research it's
cheaper?
