I have found numerous web sites that identify the wife of David-3 STOUT
(Jonathan-2, Richard-1) as Elizabeth GARRISON; others identify her as
Elizabeth LARISON.

By what primary source(s) can Elizabeth's maiden name be established as
GARRISON or LARISON with some degree of certainty?

I am researching the early GARRISONs of Hunterdon Co., NJ with the
assistance of several correspondents. I have found multiple points of
association between the BARBER, BURROUGHS/BURROWS, FOSTER, GARRISON,
HIGGINS, HOWELL, OLIPHANT, PRALL, STOUT & THROCKMORTON families of Monmouth,
Morris & Hunterdon Counties.
