Interested in information on my g-g-grandfather, Hermon G. Whiting, a
jeweler with wife, four children and a servant, in the 1880 US Census in
Clinto (Supervisor's district #2, enumeration district #80) -- I have that
info.

In 1870 they were in Augusta, Georgia; in 1892 they were back in Clyde, NY,
outside Rochester where Hermon was born and died. Can't figure out the stay
in NJ.

Does anyone have any maps or business/resident lists for Clinton from that
era? Did some cursory research at Hunterdon Cty Library, but couldn't find
much. Hoping someone could maybe shed some light.
