Hi List, For convience, I'm replying to the list in general on your look
ups. The information may be of revelvance to others, so I believe on keeping
this on-list.
Mel and Brenda, I drew a blank on your names with the limited pages I have,
but it doesn't mean they aren't there.
Norma, Found the following on your HIGGINS:
"Loose piece of paper in the book: dated 30 April 1769. Baptised Katharin,
wife of Samuel Higgins of Hardwick Twp., Sussex.
Thomas and William, 1st and 2nd child of the above"
This is probably a note of Joseph Dellacor who preached for the congregation
from 1763 to 1783 when Joseph Wack began preaching. Unfortunately, this was
from a separate page (not Race's article) that I received from someone (lord
knows who) so I can't give reference.
John, I found the following GANO baptism:
Elisabetha, born 10 Aug 1794, bapt. 30 Aug 1795, parents Richard Gano and
wife Margaretha, no witnesses.
Baptised by Joseph Wack (preached 1783 - 1795)
(p.50, "The Jerseyman", Parish Register of The German Reform Church, by Henry
Race, M.D., Vol. 3, No.4, June 1897., Flemington, NJ)
Additionally, I can tell you that Richard GANO, was an appraiser for the
county. He appeared on the inventory of George HITESMAN, signed 31 July 1822;
and as a witness of the will of John HITSMAN, signed 28 May 1831, and later
as the appraiser of John's estate inventory,signed 22 June 1832. I have 3
separate examples of his signature if you are interested.
Wish I had the entire Parish Register!
Wendy
