Have you tried these?

NJ Supreme Court Case Files (1704-1844)
-Supreme Court heard all types of cases.
-Indexed by Plaintiff and Defendant

NJ Chancery Court (1740s-1850)
-State Archives has the original Chancery Court cases to 1850
-Chancery Court was charged with hearing cases of equity (concern for
fairness and judgment)
-Indexed by complaintant
