I have a copy of the transcribed Birth/Bapt. Records of the Zion Lutheran
Church in Oldwick and the marriage records (1770-1843).

PAUL ANTHONY came from Germany in the brigantine Perth Amboy from
Rotterdam, last from Dover, 1796, Oct. 19. His name is on Foxenberg
subscription list before 1749; probably came from Strasburg; bad only one
son so far as is known, viz.:

I. PHILIP, m. Elisabeth Dewitt, who d. 1818; will probated (Newton, N. J.)
1813, April 9; lived near Newton until after Revolution, when he removed to
Pen well, but the eldest son rem****ined in Susser Co. and is the ancestor
of the Anthonys in that region. The homesteed was on the site of the farm
of either John Anthony or Jacob Miller or both, in Independence township,
Warren County.

b. 1764, May 15; d. 18****6, June 1, (near Glen Gardner).

The name of the eldest son, who remained near Newton, is unknown, and no
trace of his d****ndants can be found.
