Thanks to Beverly Kirby-McDonough for adding the cemetery records for the
Kingwood Presbyterian church to her web site.
Moreover, through her conscientiousness, she was able to correct the
record for the graves of four little children erroneously listed as
SAUNDERS when their real name was SOUDERS.
Aside from its being incredibly sad that the parents - William and
Charity (Painter) SOUDERS - lost 4 children in less than a month between
Aug 22-Sep 17, 1834, I was wondering if anyone on the list knew what
might have caused these deaths?
Smallpox? Diphtheria? something as simple but deadly as Measles? Or, an
accident, a fire, say?
