Hi Dorothy,
You Wrote:
Would you happen to have a marriage for Henry WIDDIFIELD and Martha WILSON? The marriage probably took place no later than 1777 in Kingswood, Hardwick Co., New Jersey. First child b. in June of 1777. The children of this couple were:
Elizabeth
John
Mary
Henry
Martha
Mordecai
Robert
Thank you very, very much for doing this.
Dorothy in Cal.
RESPONSE:
My only contribution to Genealogy Researchers is that I am Indexing the Hunterdon Gazette, the first newspaper published in Flemington, New Jersey from 1825 to 1866. I have only completed from 1825 thru 1836. Thus I can only help you if your query concerns this location and this time period.
Please note that there is no Hardwick Co. in New Jersey. There is a Kingwood Township in Hunterdon County which lies on the Western boarder of the state of New Jersey, along the Delaware River, in the upper part of the state.
I ran a check on WIDDIFIELD and it did not appear in the Index for the years 1825 to 1835. This does not mean that there was no one with that surname, it only means that no one with that surname got into the newspaper!
Regards, Bill
