Hi Dan,

I tried sending this to you at but it bounced.

I have the 1860 census for Hunterdon County on CD, so had a look for
your William Conner. By the way, he is the only one. The only other
names that came up using Con* as a search in Hunterdon County were a
William Conover (32, wife Sarah) in Raritan and a William Conway (35,
wife Winifred) in Lambertville.

Kingwood Township, Post Office Baptist Town, Roll 696, p. 750:
House 385, family 378:
CONNER, William, 35, M, farm laborer, $100 personal estate, b. NY
", Martha, 29, F, b. NY
", Manning (?) F., 2, M, b. NY

This looks like the next generation, though, if you think your William
Conner was around 50.

I have an index on CD for the 1860 census and a look at New Jersey in
general brought these names up. However, I don't have these counties,
so you'll have to find some other way of looking them up.
Unfortunately, this index doesn't have ages, so it really is a shot in
the dark situation:
