I know that wills were recorded until 1802 and then it was like 5 names if I
remember correctly.

Even 1840 for births is better than PA which is more like 1900 or NY. GA is
really bad like 1920. When I lived in GA I tried to research a name for a
lister. When I asked why there were no records I informed that the people
were illiterate. Plus the Civil War. I didn't get much more help than that
because I had the wrong accent.
