Hi,
I just learned of the following genealogical resources, and wish to
pass them on to the list.
1880 US Federal Census records are now available for free on the
website of the Jesus Christ Church of Latter Day Saints. You are able
to search on an "all name" index, not just head of household. The
census can be viewed through the following URL:
http://www.familysearch.org
Also, the Hunterdon County Library is offering free online access to
Heritage Quest if you have an active county library card. Heritage
Quest has a Federal census database covering 1790 through 1930. The
searchable years include 1790, 1800, 1810, 1870, 1890 and 1910. You
can search multiple years at the same time. In addition, it offers
extensive family and local histories. Here is the URL:
http://www.hunterdon.lib.nj.us/
Click on "Electronic Resources", and enter your ten-digit library card
number.
Enjoy your research. Happy New Year to all!
