Fish,

I'd be interested in your FISHER info. There are indications that one,
possibly three?, BELLIS males married FISHER girls back in the early-to-mid
1700's. I would dearly love to get my hands on any first-source
documentation of the marriages.

Here is my online database (it's about 1/3rd complete), and the webpage
linked is where I have a Barnet BELLIS married to possibly Mary FISHER :
http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=rozbellis1&id=I14

Other researcher online databases show:

-- a Mr. BELLIS married to Elizabeth FISHER
(http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=duell1935&id=I28
67)

-- a Peter BELLIS married to a Christeen FISHER
(http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=okerson&id=I0247
95) This one is a bit perplexing because this Peter married Christina
NOLLEN back in Germany, although it is possible that she pre-deceased him
and he remarried another Christeen in NJ. This Peter died in Sussex Co NJ
and had land in Oxford as well as land along the Paulins Kiln, near
Knowlton. The other possiblity is that there was a second Peter, of almost
identical age, who died in the same year as the first.

If you have any FISHERs or CASEs in KY or Cincinnati, OH, anytime in the
1780-1845 timeframe, that would be of interest.

Thanks!

Roz Bellis

Rosalyn, I descend from Peter's son Anthony Fisher and Margaret Elizabeth
Snyder. I have lot's of information on different Fisher lines if you are
interested let me know. I know some did make there way to Kentucky.

Can anyone tell me whether ancestors of this CASE family moved to

after the Rev War? In particular, did any spend time in or pass through
any of these KY counties: Nicholas, Bourbon, Garrard, Mercer.

Rich Fisher: are you related to the FISHERs who were in Hunterdon Co. in
the early 1700's? (Peter FISHER immigrated from Neuwied, Germany;
married
Anna Maria JUNG.)

Thanks,

I have been doing Case research for several years. I have found many
inconsistencies in the information that I have gathered. With that said,
this is what I have on Mary Smith Case. I have that she was born
1/5/1833 in
Raritan Twp., Hunterdon , NJ. She married William Marsh and they lived
in
Flemington, Hunterdon,NJ. She was the daughter of Matthias Case
(2/10/1793
Amwell,Hunterdon,NJ-12/3/1856 Raritan Twp., Hunterdon,NJ) and Amy
Holcombe
(11/7/1897 Amwell - 4/26/1869 Raritan Twp). Matthias and Amy are buried
at
the Flemington Baptist Church. Matthias Case was the son of William
Henry
Case (1770 NJ -2/27/1835) and Anna Eva Cool (1771 Hunterdon Co-5/14/1856
Hunterdon Co). William and Ann are buried at Larison's Corner Cemetery..
William is my 4th great grandfather.
I am of the belief that William was the son of a Hontice Case and
Christiana. Hontice may have also been known as Matthias. Anthony Kaes
who
married an Eva Catherine had a son John Matthias who married a
Chrisianna
and they had a son William. This paragraph is strictly a guess as to
Williams ancestors. It was thought by some that Anthony Kaes and John
Philip
were brothers, but again I have not found anything definit e to confirm
that.
I have other information on siblings and the Holcombe's and Cool's if
you
are interested.

I'm Seeking info on Mary S. CASE 1833-1903 (Spouse William MARSH
1831-1902)
md 20 Nov 1852

Children: Daniel MARSH 1859-11 Jul 1937 (Spouse Lillian May JOHNSON
1866-1953) md 29 Aug 1885

All of the above are from Hunterdon County. Both marriages are confirmed
from the Democrat. My g grandmother, Annie Marsh, always told the story
of
Tuccamigan, she was 97 when she died in 1991. That in mind Mary S. Case
is
more than likely a descendent of John Philip. where there's smoke there
is
fire.

In addition the Democrat also mentions that Lillian May JOHNSON was the
dau
of Hart JOHNSON.
