Elizabethtown, NJ was named for Elizabeth Carteret if memory serves me
correctly. Elizabethtown also served as the capital of the province of NJ.
The name was shortened to Elizabeth in the mid? 1800's - The City of
Elizabeth is right next to Newark and is a port City, Many container ship
dock there on a daily basis.

Rahway, is, was and will aways be Rahway.

Both towns had large amounts of Quaker poplutions back in the day.
