I'm an accountant by trade some of my biggest clients are garbage companies
in Newark and Elizabeth. I'm there alot. The 1-9 corridor is probably the
ugliest of areas in all of NJ. One patch of trees in the middle of hell does
not a postcard make. remember that we are talking about an area that
contains more federal Superfund sites per square mile than any other area in
the country. I moved to PA because even Morris County was getting to
blighted for my tastes. I grew up in Pittstown right on Mechlin's Corner Rd.
That's my idea of beautiful, but who can afford to buy there anymore?
I'm sure the area was much more pleasing back in the days of Carteret &
Berkeley, I wonder what Sir George would say if he could see what has become
of Elizabethtown?

County cities. Elizabeth has the gorgeous Warinanco Park with its azalea
gardens and Rahway has the Rahway River Park. Not everything in Union
County is ugly and not everything looks like Route One.
