New Jersey Tax Ratables, 1773-1822
The New Jersey State Archives has municipal tax ratables for the period
1773-1822. Each book covers a specific township or municipal ward for a
specific year and lists all landowners, household heads, and single
adult males, enumerating their taxable assets, i.e., land, livestock,
mills, slaves, carriages, etc.

The Tax Ratables [24 microfilm reels] are available at:

New Jersey State Library
Alexander Library, Rutgers University
Microfilm rental through your local Family History Center
