Last month I reviewed several of the original Muster in Rolls, Muster out
Rolls, and other Civil War actions at the State Archives in Trenton. These
documents recorded age, height, color of eyes and hair, and place of birth,
at least for the man I was looking up. The documents are quite fragile.
The staff at the Archives was extremely helpful. Good luck.

GEORGE F. NASH. I have copies of his Muster-in Roll saying he joined
Company A, 30 Regiment New Jersey Mil. Inf. (in Flemington) on September 3,
1862 and Muster-in date of September 17, 1862... Now the question is, where
would I go to find further information of him joining, such as his Vital
Statistics, place of birth, etc.?
