Hi,

My 3rd gr. grandmother was Mary Allen, wife of Robert Allen, and I just received her death certificate which states that her maiden name was Parks. She was born between 1790 and 1800 in NJ, based on the death certificate and other burial information. I have no other information about her but I have noticed there are a lot of Parks families in this area. I think she and her husband lived in Washington, NJ. for a while but then she seems to have separated from him. I know he didn't die until 1883, according to his death certificate. I have found her in the 1870 census living with her daughter, Eleanor and son-in-law George Watts in Washington. In 1880, she was still living in Washington but with a different daughter, Catharine and her husband, Joseph Gross (Groff/Grofs?). If anyone has a Mary Parks floating around in their information, I would love to hear from you.
