Hi,
Charles C. Coddington was the son of Sylvanus A. Codington and Aletta
W.
Bush Codington of Somerset County, NJ. This family lived for a time in
North
Branch on the Hunterdon border during the 1880s. Charles and Hattie had one
daughter, Irma Codington b. 3 April 1893, who married Orrin George Dodge.
She died 28 October 1978 in Plainfield while her husband died 14 December
1959 in North Plainfield, Somerset County, NJ. They had one daughter, Ethel
Dodge, b. 15 October 1918, who married John J. Hieb. Ethel died 21 December
2001 in Alexandria Twp, Hunterdon Co., NJ, while her husband died 17
November 1999. All four generations of this family were buried in the Bound
Brook Presbyterian Cemetery in the Codington plot, as is the Lewis B.
Codington you mention below. Ethel Dodge and John J. Hieb had three
children: John J. Hieb, Donald D. Hieb and Carolyn Hieb West. Donald Hieb
and his wife, Laurie, live in Alexandria Twp, Hunterdon County, NJ, but the
mailing address is Milford.

I have never met any members of this family, but keep track of all the Bush
descendants including Aletta W. Bush mentioned above. If you would like me
to call them and ask if they want the Codington marriage data, I'll be
happy
to do that since I also live in Milford. I think it is wonderful of you to
put out this notice so that someone might claim a family heirloom. As far
as
I know, the Hiebs and Wests, with their children, are the only descendants
living, of Charles and Hattie Codington.
