I am searching for information about the families mentioned above. John
Archibald YARD, DOB 11/01/1850 was the son of William B. YARD and Matilda
M. SMITH. He was born in Trenton. The marriage certificate I located shows
he married Anna REYNOLDS on 11/13/1873 at St. Johns Church in Lambertville,
NJ. Their two oldest sons, William COWIN YARD (DOB 11/06/1874) and John
BRITTON YARD (DOB 02/16/1876) were born in Lambertville. Their third child,
Frank YARD (DOB 01/05/1879) appears to have been born in Trenton. The death
certificate for Anna REYNOLDS indicates that she was the daughter of
James REYNOLDS and Catherine MALONE, that she was born in New Jersey on
11/01/1852. I have been unable to locate any birth or census records
regarding her prior to her marriage. Information obtained from now deceased
family members indicates that she had several sisters; Billie REYNOLDS, who
had children named Peter and Ann RILEY, Mary REYNOLDS, who married John
COLLIGAN and Julia REYNOLDS, who married Lawrence P. TRAVERS and had a son
also named Lawrence TRAVERS (DOB 08/10/1892). I have been told that upon
the death of James REYNOLDS, Catherine MALONE remarried to an Edward
CAMPION and had several other children, two of whom were Catherine and
Gertrude CAMPION.

I have no clue about the source for the middle name of COWIN for my great
grandfather William Cowin Yard. I have not discovered any connection
between this family name and the Yard or Reynolds family. On a visit to
cemeteries in Lambertville, I did come across a number of gravesites for
COWINs.

I have been told by my brother that there are still several family
connections residing in the Lambertville area but I have never been able to
identify them.

Page 49 of the 1860 US Census for Lambertville shows that William B. Yard
(44), his wife Matilda (42), and their children: William A. (22), Frances
M. (16), John A. (9), Catherine M. (4) and a Catharine LANNING (43) were
living at dwelling #391.

Any additional information on these families would be greatly appreciated.
