On the subject of YOUNG in Hunterdon County, I have another little puzzle to
solve, maybe it is connected to what you are putting together?

My ancestor, William Silverthorne, who lived in Hunterdon County near High
Bridge, married an unknown wife about 1750. She died abt. 1776 and he
remarried abt 1780 to widow Mary YOUNG of Lebanon, mother of Matthias (of
age in 1794) and Peter YOUNG (a minor in 1794).

Mary and William belonged to the Zion Lutheran Church at Oldwick (formerly
Germantown). Prior to her marriage to William, Mary YOUNG she had been
taxed in Bethlehem Twp in 1778 on 60 acres of land, and again in 1779 on 80
acres of land. My ancestor was William's first wife, but I would also like
to know more about this Mary YOUNG, who was a widow. She and William had a
couple more children together (Elisabeth, Anna, Thomas).

William's son, Oliver Silverthorne (by first wife) had married Eve YOUNG
(sister of a Henry YOUNG). She was born abt 1760 in Lebanon Twp. and
married Oliver abt 1780.

As you can see, there were a few YOUNGs running around this area at the time
we are searching. I would be most interested if these families turn up in
any of the Wills and records that are being inspected.
