Hi to everyone in Hunterdon (and environs), NJ

I am coming home for a very brief visit in early August (6 to 12). The
main objective is to attend a family reunion which is held every 5
years.

I may have some very limited time to do some research and would like to
inquire of anyone connected with the Hunterdon County Historical Society
or the Hopewell Museum of the possibility of making an appointment to do
some research outside of the facilities normal operating hours.

On this trip I will be concentrating on documenting a Judiah HIGGINS and
wife Anne ANDERSON. (There is no proof of this marriage). Supposedly
Judiah lived at Rileyville or Mountain Church. Rileyville was
apparently located on Sourland Mountain. This is in the 1775 time
period when I believe this area was in Hunterdon Co. It may be in
Mercer Co. today, I'm not sure.

I would also like to get additional information on a Simon MYERS/MIRES
(several variant spellings) whose land was divided circa 1814 in
Hunterdon County. I am particularly interested in learning of any YOUNG
families in the immediate area where Simon MYERS lived since his son
Peter MYERS married a Mary YOUNG.

Our reunion is being held down in the Pines on Fri thru Sun (Aug 8-10)
so any research would need to be done on Thursday 7 Aug or Monday 11
Aug.

I have visited both the Historical Society and the Hopewell Museum on
prior occasions but at this time know more about my ancestors than I did
at the time of my original visits.

Regards,

Bill Morrow in Houston, TX (native of NJ)
