This Hunterdon County vernacular farmhouse, formerly listed on the Hunterdon County Historic Listing, needs a new home. Four years ago we rescued this house from the bulldozers, dismantled and documented it, and have it stored in a trailer. We initially planned to erect it as an addition for our own use, but unforeseen circumstances eliminated our need for it. We have been hoping to find another Hunterdon resident who might have an interest in it. We would like to see it stay in the county. We would really like to see it go to Mettler descendents. We might possibly be willing to donate it to a Hunterdon County historic society. We don't want it to go for salvage.

I apologize for making this appeal on listserve. We welcome any suggestions for a home for our orphaned farmhouse.
