Hi Marshall,
My 6th GGM's gravestone may be one of the earliest in
Hunterdon Co. Her grave, along with my 5th GGF's, has been moved
twice due to hiway construction. They were originally buried near
Annandale, but are now in Clinton at the Evergreen Cemetery.
Martha Martin was 74 when she died, and her gravestone reads:
Here lyeth the Body of
Martha Martin
Widow of Alexander Martin
who departed this Life
May the 11th Anno Dom. 1753
The grave of Alexander Martin has never been identified, but is
undoubtedly somewhere in Bucks Co.
Francie
