I have a book entitled "Warford Fisher Kaes-Kuhl Stout Pinckney Families"
by Laurence Lee Hill in 1996. I wrote to the author (and received a
response) not too long ago at the address:

I don't know if he has an email address.
In the book it states:

There's no mention of a Luther COLVIN/CALVIN in the book that I can see.
