I can't answer your question but noticed your name of Bellis and you are
researching the surname name Bellesfelt. I am looking for the parents of
Adam Bellis born Feb 8 1790. He married a lady by the name of Lucretia and
she was born abt 1792 in NY. After Adam died she married a Phillip Wiggins
in Darke Co., Ohio. Adam Bellis and some of their children are buried in
Darke Co., Ohio. Adam had a sister who also moved to Darke Co., OHIO> I
believe her name to be Hester Bellis but she went by Hettie. Hettie married
first Albert Nevius. After Albert died she married a Christian Schlechty in
Darke Co., Ohio. Albert Nevius was born in 1783 and came from Somerset Co.,
NJ. Albert and family moved to Seneca Co NY before going to Darke Co., Ohio.
Do you have any references to the above Adam Bellis and his sister?
Any help appreciated.
