Marilyn,

I'm forwarding to the NJHUNTER List the email reply you sent me (re. my
query: "Eli YOUNG Farm, Trumbull Co OH') as I do not believe they received
it. Much appreciate these "pieces to the puzzle".

Hi all: In the book "A History of East Amwell, 1700-1800", by the East
Amwell Bicentennial Committee, Ringoes, New Jersey, 1976 and published by
the Hunterdon County Historical Society, Flemington, New Jersey, page 146:
Christopher Fisher:
Birth: 1735
Parents: Peter "the German" Fisher of Rocktown
Siblings: Anthony, John Wilhelm (William), Elizabeth, John, Peter, and
Jacob
Marriage: Mary Young, born 1736 and died 10 Oct 1821
Children: Elizabeth who married Daniel Griggs prior to 1791.
Mary who married John Hortman
Anne wh married William Case
Christopher born 1779 and died 31 Aug 1804
Residence: Near Van Lieu's Corner, perhaps the present Meister Farm. 1780
Rateables list a Christopher Fisher as owning 125 acres and 60 acres of
undeveloped land, 3 horses, 8 horned cattle, 4 pigs and having L(pounds) 90
out at interest. In 1791, daughter Elizabeth and husband Daniel Griggs
filed a petition for the division of Christopher's land, about 180 acres.
At that time one child, Christpher Jr. was underage.
Death: 13 Dec 1787 and interred in Larison's Corner Churchyard.

Service: 1778: June, enlisted as a Private in Capt John Reading's Company f
the Second Regiment of the New Jersey
Continental Line.
1779: 1 March, discharged.
I think this is the brother of your Elizabeth Fisher.
Marilyn
