David M. WELCH, son of John Jacob and Catherine (CRATER) WELSH of New
Germantown, married Mary "Polly" DEAN on September 25, 1824. The date is
recorded in their family Bible, but I have not been able to find any
official record of the marriage and the place of their marriage is not
mentioned. Chambers' book mentions the marriage, but it doesn't give a date
or place. Can anyone help me confirm the date and place?

Mary DEAN was born September 19, 1804, in New Jersey, but the exact place is
not known. Her father might have been named Stephen (one of their sons was
named Stephen Dean WELCH) and I have found a record of a Stephen DEAN
marrying Elizabeth BUNN in New Jersey, but there is no confirming evidence
of the connection. Is anyone working on the DEAN family in or near New
Germantown?
