Not a very common name..... Index of Wills for Hunterdon lists the
following:
ARAY, Abraham 5327J, Inv. 1852
ARAY, James 2715J, Inv. 1815
AREY, Adam 903J, B 17, P 90, Will 1774, Inv. 1774

Peter ALPOUGH b. 1778 m. Anna Barbara AUREY or AREY and is said to
have moved to Canada in 1810.

In Kenn Stryker-Rodda "Revolutionary Census of NJ":
1773 - 1774
AIRY, Abner - Nottingham, Burlington Co.
AIRY, Isaac - Nottingham, Burlington Co.
ARRAY, AREE, AUREE, Adam, Addam (Junr & Senr) Knowlton, Sussex Co.
William Knowlton, Sussex Co.

Tough surname!
