There are similar surnames in Hunterdon that I strongly suspect was part of
his family that I haven't linked yet. There weren't too many
Wolford/Wohlford/Woolford/Woofarths in New Jersey in the 1780s, and
Hunterdon and Sussex county
were right next to each other during the Revolutionary War. John Wolford
left NJ and went to Hampshire County for over a dozen years then moved to
Randolph county in 1799/1800.
