Yes, the Hunterdon County Historical Society is the proper place for pictures since they are catalogued and stored in non-acid folders and made available on a restricted bases depending on need of the researcher.

Dear List,

Can anybody tell me if there is some repository in Hunterdon Co. for old
photos associated with the county? I rescued an old photo from a flea market and
would like to find it a home.

It is of a 7 year old girl, Katherine Black. It is a small cabinet card and
in excellent info. Probably taken 1910-1920. I wonder if any Hunterdon Co.
Library might have a genealogical collection which includes old photos?

Any help appreciated. Or, if you are a family member of Katherine Black,
please contact me privately.
