Jan and all, The WELLER family is extremely well represented in Warren Co.,
just to the north of Hunterdon, and at one time it was Hunterdon. I have
multiple collateral lines ( HITESMAN, DEWITT, SCHLABACH and lots more) that moved
to the Columbus area of Ohio, Indiana, Michigan. And yes, this was bounty land
also. If you look at a current map you'll notice an awful lot of NJ place
names, counties as well as cities. For those of you interested in former
discussions of migration patterns to the mid-west, you may want to check the Warren
List Archives...we had quite an extended discussion a while back.

As to the WELLERS, if you are interested in following their trail back to NJ,
check Jan Raub's site at www.raub-and-more.com I entered Weller in her
on-site search engine, and got 118 hits on the name...bound to be a link there
somewhere. For any of the rest of you in Hunterdon, the prodigious amount of
info Jan has put on the web includes ALOT of Hunterdon folks...many of the
church records date before Warren became an independent county. Check this site
out...it's great.
