Lea,

The Mary BELLIS who married Johan Peter ROCKEFELLER
(http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=rozbellis1&id=I450) died
in 1772 -- i.e., before the invention of photography. As far as I know, no
family researcher has ever been able to identify who this Mary's father
was...although all seem "agreed" she belongs to the BELLESFELT/BOELLESFELTs
of Neuwied/Nordhofen Germany (they lived very close to the ROCKEFELLER
family of Segendorf/Rockenfeld Germany).

My guess is Mary Ann BELLIS and Theodore BELLIS in your picture were
siblings, and belonged to this Peter BELLIS and his wife Mary M. HOUSEL:

Hello again,

I just wrote to Sharon about the Rockafellow pictures
in a friends old photo album. I was hoping someone
might be able to shed some light on another two family
groupings in the album, the Hummer and the Bellis
families.

Again, the captions are written by George Hummer (her
g-grandmother's, Anna J. Hummer, brother).

The front leaf is inscribed:

"Book given to Anna J. Hummer by George Hummer"

The family picture captions are as follows:

1) George Hummer
2) Brother John and wife Mary (Hummer)
3) Brother George and wife (Hummer)
4) George Hummer and wife Mary
5) Mary and John Hummer (her husband)
6) George G Hummer's wife
7) George A Hummer
8) Mary Ann Bellis (Peter Bellis daughter)
9) Theadore Bellis
10) John Hummer (my brother of J. Williamson)
11) Cora Hummer
12) Willie Hummer (brother George's child)
13) Mattie Hummer
14) George Bellis

I hope someone has put together a family tree that
could shed some light on these groups of people.

It is an interesting side note that an old picture of
Abraham Lincoln is in the album. His name is spelled:
Abriham Lincomb by whoever wrote the caption.

Also, all the pictures are on metal sheeting. I had
never seen that before, but I am really green with all
this stuff!!

Thanks for reading and thinking about my dilemma. Any
thoughts or suggestions would be most appreciated!!
