No Akers or Shearman. The closest thing I could find was as follows:
p. 213, David Banks, Quarter Master, Newark
No. 29 Nathan Sherman. Mar 6, 2780. Due 1st Aug & 24 Dec 1779 for 2 1/2
bu. rye, 2 tons hay & 2 1/2 days carting. 195 dollars.
This was the only Sherman entry and from Newark so probably not a match with
your family.
