PLEASE NOTE - The following newspaper clippings are from a collection found
after my great Aunt passed away. She unfortunately made no note of what paper
they came from or the date. I felt they may still provide important clues for
somebody and other listers agreed so I have been posting them regardless.




Mrs. Henriette HILDEBRANT Dead

Mrs. Henrietta [yes, they spelled her name two ways] HILDEBRANT, 66, widow of Christopher HILDEBRANT died yesterday at 7 a.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. Cole ALPAUGH near Cokesbury, where she had been ill for the past three months suffering from a stroke of paralysis. She suffered the second stroke early Monday morning, from which she never rallied.

Mrs. HILDEBRANT was born at Cokesbury and was the oldest daughter of the late John Martin JOHNSON of Cokesbury and Mrs. Lydia JOHNSON of High Bridge. She resided in Califon a few years, moving to Cokesbury about two years ago. Her husband died last winter. She was twice married. Her first husband, George JONES, died about 15 years ago.

She was a member of the Cokesbury Presbyterian church, King's Daughters of the same church, and was a very active church worker. She was also a charter member of Frances Willard Council 120 of High Bridge.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. J. Cole ALPAUGH, one granddaughter, Mrs. Frederick APGAR, also one grandson, all of Cokesbury, two step daughters, Mrs. Roscoe SUTTON of Califon, Mrs. Paul OPDYKE of Asbury, two sisters, Mrs. Samuel R. NEIGH of Califon and Mrs. Ira APGAR of Cranford.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 p.m., at the home of her daughter. Rev. George MAGILL, pastor of Cokesbury Methodist church will officiate. Interment will be made in the family plot in Mountain View Cemetery, Cokesbury.



Mrs. Elizabeth TEATS, 77 years old, died Sunday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George MAHONEY. She suffered a stroke of paralysis last week. Mrs. TEATS is survived by her daughter and two grandchildren, Mrs. Floyd BURRELL and Miss Sarah MAHONEY. Funeral services were held yesterday at 2:30 p.m. from the home, the Rev. J.J. WADE officiating. Interment was made in the Presbyterian Cemetery at Cokesbury.



Mrs. Ellen TEETS Services

Whitehouse- Funeral services for Mrs. Ellen TEETS, seventy-seven years old, widow of Manchee T. TEETS, who died Sunday at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. James ORTS, near Lamington, will be held tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. at the Methodist Episcopal Church at Fairmount. Rev. Leroy PETERSON will officiate. Interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
