Subject: [NJHUNTER] Newspaper Clippings

PLEASE NOTE - The following newspaper clippings are from a collection found
after my great Aunt passed away. She unfortunately made no note of what paper
they came from or the date. I felt they may still provide important clues for
somebody and other listers agreed so I have been posting them regardless.
PACE - PERLING
Miss Ruth PERLING, daughter of Mrs. Ezra BARTON and Howard PACE, son of Mr. and Mrs. Preston PACE, both of Fairmount, were married on Saturday afternoon at the manse of the Lower Valley Presbyterian church, by Rev. Frederick W. HELWIG.
Miss Jean BATES of Hackettstown was bridesmaid and John PACE Jr., of Fairmount, a brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Sartelle MOORE of Chester, brother-in-law, and Kenneth PACE, brother of the bridegroom, were the ushers. About thirty witnessed the ceremony. The parlor was decorated with laurel and calla lilies. The bride wore a white tulle veil with a dutchess lace cape with orange blossoms and carried a bouquet of calla lilies. The bridesmaid wore a blue dress with accessories to match and carried a bouquet of pink carnations.
A reception followed at the manse to thirty guests. After a brief wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. PACE will reside at Springfield, where Mr. PACE has accepted a position.
ALPAUGH - BURRELL
Announcement has been made of the recent marriage of Frank ALPAUGH, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond ALPAUGH and Miss Agnes BURRELL, daughter of Eli BURRELL, both of Califon. Rev. Frederick HELWIG, pastor of the Lower Valley Presbyterian church, performed the ceremony. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Burton WISE of Mountainville.
HOOVER - BURRELL
Califon - Announcement has been made of the marriage of Miss Helen BURRELL, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eli BURRELL of Mountainville, to Lester HOOVER, son of Mr. and Mrs. HOOVER of this place. The ceremony was performed June 25 by Rev. Frederick W. HELWIG at the manse of Lower Valley Presbyterian church. Mr. and Mrs. Frank ALPAUGH, brother-in-law and sister of the bride, were attendants.
CREED - HARTLEY Plans
Califon - Miss Anna HARTLEY, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard HARTLEY of Fairmount, and Albert CREED of Califon will be married Sunday at the Hartley home, Rev. Albert LeRoy PETERSON, pastor of the Califon and Fairmount Methodist churches, officiating. After visits at Bayonne and Jersey City the couple will live in Philhower Ave.
HOFFMAN - FRACE
Califon - The marriage of Miss Elizabeth H. FRACE, niece of Mrs. Christopher BURD of Califon, and Morris P. HOFFMAN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Amzie HOFFMAN of Fairmount, took place today at the couple's future home at Parsonage Heights. Rev. Frank DEPUE, pastor of Fairmount Presbyterian Church, officiated.
Miss Olive BURD of Califon was maid of honor and Wilbert APPLEGATE of Califon was best man. Flower girls were Kathryn VAN PELT of Matawan and Roberta FISHER of Belford. Ushers were Edward FISHER of Belford and Van HOFFMAN of Fairmount, brother of the bridegroom. Miss Ruth DEPUE of Fairmount played the wedding march and sang. After a reception the couple left on a motor trip to Canada. Mrs. HOFFMAN is a graduate of Roxbury High School and of Newton Normal School. Mr. HOFFMAN is a graduate of High Bridge High School, New York Electrical College and the National Radio Institute, Washington.
