I was wondering about the green transparent velvet too. Thank you for letting us know.
PLEASE NOTE - The following newspaper clippings are from a collection found
after my great Aunt passed away. She unfortunately made no note of what paper
they came from or the date. I felt they may still provide important clues for
somebody and other listers agreed so I have been posting them regardless.
APGAR - RUNYON
Miss Mildred M. RUNYON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles RUNYON, of North Branch Station, was married on Saturday to Frank APGAR, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles APGAR, of Oldwick. The ceremony took place at the parsonage of the North Branch Reformed Church. Rev. A.J. KNOLL, the pastor, performed the ceremony. The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Michael BROWN, of Oldwick. After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride. Guests were present from North Branch, Oldwick, Far Hills, Belle Meade and Potterstown.
In honor of her approaching marriage to Benjamin VAN DOREN, son of Mr. and Mrs. John M. VAN DOREN of Oldwick, Miss Ida V. RAMSEY, daughter of Mrs. William N. RAMSEY was tendered a miscellaneous surprise shower recently by her sister, Mrs. Alfred P. TYRRELL of Long Island and Miss Anne YOUNG, at the home of the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willard R. YOUNG, Sr. Guests were from Somerville, Grandin and Lebanon.
Mr. and Mrs. William N. RAMSEY announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Ida V. RAMSEY and Benjamin VAN DOREN, son of Mr. and Mrs. John M. VAN DOREN of Oldwick. Miss RAMSEY is a graduate of Clinton high school, class of 1933 and is employed as secretary for the Royal Blue coaches at Whitehouse Station. Mr. VAN DOREN was graduated from Somerville high school, class of 1934. He is employed by the American Oil Company at Clinton.
Miss Hazel DeNISE, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred D. DeNISE, of North Plainfield, and Richard DeMatt CONOVER, son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell CONOVER of Bissell were married February 20. The ceremony was performed by Rev. John Y. BRACK of Trinity Reformed church at the parsonage. The attendants were Kenneth CONOVER, of Bissell, a brother of the bridegroom and Miss Evelyn Pearl DeNISE, sister of the bride.
A.P. FRANK Service
Bernardsville - Funeral service for Amos P. FRANK, 59, of 8 Sunnybrook Road, will be held tomorrow, 2 p.m., at the Layton Funeral Home, Main Street, Bedminster.
Mr. FRANK died Monday at All Souls Hospital, Morristown, after a short illness.
Born in Pottersville, he had lived in Bernardsville the last eight years. Previously he lived in Peapack and in Bedminster.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ruth APGAR FRANK; one brother, Harry J. of Far Hills; six sisters, Mrs. Anna THORPE and Mrs. Lillian HOFFMAN of Fairmount, Mrs. Thomas RAYSON of Far Hills, Mrs. Stanley BORN of Somerville, Mrs. Jennie BURGESS and Mrs. Florence TEISHER of Pottersville, and several nieces and nephews.
Philip AUBEL
Philip AUBEL, 65, died Tuesday (February 2, 1937) in his home on Califon-Fairmount road, after an illness of several weeks.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Hannah Apgar AUBEL, one daughter, Mrs. George CROTSLEY; one grand-daughter, Mrs. Guy WILSON; two great grandchildren.
Philip AUBEL
Philip AUBEL, 65, a retired farmer, died Tuesday at his home at Fairmount after an illness of several weeks. He was born at Fairmount, a son of the late George and Sarah AUBEL. He has resided all his life within a short distance of his birthplace.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Hannah A. AUBEL; one daughter, Mrs. George CROTSLEY; one granddaughter, Mrs. Guy WILSON, and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services wil be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at his late residence on the Califon-Fairmount road. Rev. Frank E. DePUE, pastor of Fairmount Presbyterian church, will officiate and burial will be in the Fairmount Methodist cemetery.
