Subject: [NJHUNTER] Newspaper Clippings

PLEASE NOTE - The following newspaper clippings are from a collection found
after my great Aunt passed away. She unfortunately made no note of what paper
they came from or the date. I felt they may still provide important clues for
somebody and other listers agreed so I have been posting them regardless.

Mrs. Lizzie APGAR
Annandale-Funeral services for Mrs. Lizzie APGAR will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. in the Coughlin Funeral Home, Califon, with the Rev. F. Alvin LANGWITH, pastor of the Reformed Curch here, officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Methodist Cemetery.
Mrs. APGAR, 70, wife of Charles A. APGAR, died Monday (Feruary 8, 1954) at the Forbes Nursing Home, Clinton, where she was taken Friday. She had been in failing health for a year and had been a surgical patient in Somerset Hospital, Somerville.
Mrs. APGAR was born at Fairmount, daughter of the late James and Mary Ann APGAR, and resided there until her marriage. For the past 27 years she had lived in Annandale, and before that, in High Bridge, Somerville and Princeton.
Besides her husband she leaves two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Emma ANDERSON of Plainfield, Mrs. Mabel TONYLOCK and Frank APGAR of Fairmount and Charles APGAR of Oldwick.
Until health failed her, Mrs. APGAR was an active member of the Annandale Reformed Church, its Ladies' Auxiliary and its Sunday School.
Mrs. Mabel APGAR weds
Announcement is made of the marriage of Miss Mabel APGAR of Fairmount, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James APGAR and Anthony TOMILOVEH of High Bridge. The ceremony was performed Tuesday in Fairmount Presbyterian Manse by the Rev. Frank E. DePUE. The attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Guy T. WILSON, of Fairmount.
The bride was attired in a light blue crepe gown with white accessories.
A reception was held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson, for the immediate families. Mr. and Mrs. TOMILOVAH [yes, they spelled it two different ways] will begin housekeeping in Mountainville.
Obituary
Waldon L. TIGER
Waldon L. TIGER, 28, died Wednesday morning at Somerset Hospital, where he had been a patient for two weeks with pleurisy and heart trouble. He had been ill four weeks.
Born at Califon February 12, 1909, he is the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond TIGER. He was a member of the High Bridge High school graduating class of 1927 and of the class of 1931 of Lafayette College. He was principal of Pottersville public school, a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, Men's chorus, charter member of Youth's Temperance Council, a branch of W.C.T.U., and a former superintendant of the Methodist Sunday school. He was president of the Plum reunion and treasurer of the Tiger Reunion Association.
Surviving are his parents, two brothers, Claude and Joseph W., and one sister, Miss Marion TIGER, all of Califon.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the home of his parents. Rev. A. Boylon FITZ-GERALD, pastor of the Methodist church, will officiate. The bearers will be cousins, Oscar T. SLIKER, Lester HOFFMAN, Russell HOFFMAN, G. Edward SALTER, John TIGER and Roscoe TIGER.
