Subject: [NJHUNTER] Newspaper Clippings

PLEASE NOTE - The following newspaper clippings are from a collection found
after my great Aunt passed away. She unfortunately made no note of what paper
they came from or the date. I felt they may still provide important clues for
somebody and other listers agreed so I have been posting them regardless.
Howard KING
Howard KING, twenty-seven years old, died on Wednesday morning at his home in Lebanon, after an illness since Sunday from streptococcus infected throat.
Mr. KING was a son of Moses KING, of Lebanon, and was born at Whitehouse. He was employed by the New Jersey Telephone Company and had played baseball with the Whitehouse, Oldwick and Lebanon baseball teams. He was president of the Lebanon Fire Company and a member of the Lebanon Council, No. 196, Jr. O.U.A.M.
Besides his father, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. Frederick YOUNG, of Lebanon; two brothers, Russell KING, of Far Hills, and William KING, of Lebanon.
Funeral services were held on Friday afternoon with short services at the grave. Rev. J.J. WADE, pastor of the Lebanon Methodist Church, officiated. Interment was made in the Lebanon Methodist Cemetery under the direction of John G. BROKAW.
Jennie Mae BURRELL
Mrs. Jennie Mae BURRELL, 55, widow of the late Peter BURRELL, died Saturday morning at the home of her son, Floyd BURRELL, of Fairmount. She had been ill since Thanksgiving Day with heart trouble and complications. When Mrs. BURRELL went to prepare her breakfast at 7:50 a.m., Saturday, she was dead.
She was born at Long Valley, a daughter of the late Theodore and Hannah NUNN, of Long Valley. She had resided with her son since the death of her husband a few months ago. She was a member of Fairmount Methodist church.
Mrs. BURRELL is survived by her son and one daughter, Mrs. Lewis HOFFMAN, of Chester; one grandson, Lewis HOFFMAN, Sr. [Jr.?], and one great-granddaughter, Miss Dorothy HOFFMAN, both of Chester. Also six brothers, Arthur and Floyd NUNN, of Kenvil; Robert NUNN, of Plainfield; John and Edward NUNN, of Long Valley, Roy NUNN, of Chester, and four sisters, Mrs. Grace GERABRANDT, and Mrs. Nellie AMMERMAN, both of Mendham; Mrs. Iva KLESS of Irvington, and Mrs. Emma DUCKWORTH, of Cranford.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at her late home. Rev A. Boylon FITZ-GERALD, Jr., pastor of Califon-Fairmount Methodist church, officiated. Burial was in the Fairmount Presbyterian cemetery.
