PLEASE NOTE - The following newspaper clippings are from a collection found
after my great Aunt passed away. She unfortunately made no note of what paper
they came from or the date. I felt they may still provide important clues for
somebody and other listers agreed so I have been posting them regardless.

Somerville Man Suicide.

Love Tangle Indicated

Special to the Newark News

Somerville- John R. LEBBING, twenty-nine, local garage owner, committed suicide last night by shooting himself in a room over the garage. The shot was heard by his brother Fred and several men in the garage, who climbed to the loft room and found LEBBING lying on a cot, a revolver beside him. He had shot himself through the head. He was taken to Somerset Hospital where he died an hour later.

LEBBING leaves his wife and a child. A love tangle was indicated as the cause of his suicide in a letter written by LEBBING and found beside him, according to police. The letter was addressed to "Nora BROWN". It read:

"To Nora BROWN, the woman who roped me in. I hope I have at last done the thing you wanted me to do. Surely I can't have Helen, the girl I love, but you, damn you -- surely can't have me either."

County Physician George A. MACK declared the case one of suicide.
