PLEASE NOTE - The following newspaper clippings are from a collection found
after my great Aunt passed away. She unfortunately made no note of what paper
they came from or the date. I felt they may still provide important clues for
somebody and other listers agreed so I have been posting them regardless.



Fred A. APGAR

Long Valley - Fred A. APGAR, 66, of 50 Fox Hill Road, Fairmount, died yesterday (Oct. 28, 1968) in Little Brook Nursing Home, Califon, where he had been a patient for one day.

He had retired as a telephone repairman with the N.J. Bell Telephone Company.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Madeline Foran APGAR; two sons, Frederick of Liberty Corner and George of Basking Ridge; his father, Willard APGAR of Long Valley; two sisters, Mrs. Percy ALPAUGH and Mrs. Robert TEEL, both of Clearwater, Fla.; and five grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Bailey Funeral Home, Peapack, with the Rev. Warren David WARREN [David WARREN?], of Gladstone Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be at the Methodist Cemetery, Fairmount.



Mrs. Walter LUCAS

Califon - Mrs. Myrtle C. LUCAS, 64, of Fairmount Road, East, died yesterday (October 28, 1968) in the Prygrocki Nursing Home, Glen Gardner, where she had been a patient four months.

Widow of Walter LUCAS, she was born in Tewksbury Township and had lived her entire life in the Fairmount area.

Surviving are two sons, William of Califon and Donald of New Hampton; three sisters, Mrs. May PHILHOWER of Long Valley, Mrs. Nellie BLAZURE of Pottersville and Mrs. Ethel BURD of Far Hills, and four grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Coughlin Funeral Home here. The Rev. William STEVENS, pastor of the Califon Methodist Church, will officiate and interment will be in Fairmount Rural Cemetery.



Marjorie T. HILDEBRANT, Cider Mill Operator

Miss Marjorie T. HILDEBRANT of New Providence died Friday, March 16, 1984 at Somerset Medical Center. She was 65.

Miss HILDEBRANT and her twin sister, Margaret, operated HILDEBRANT's Cider Mill in Oldwick until retiring in 1975.

Born in Oldwick, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Margaret Teets HILDEBRANT. Her father opened the mill in 1902.

Her sister, Margaret, with whom she resided, is the only survivor.

Graveside services were held Tuesday at New Germantown Cemetery, Oldwick, under the direction of Coughlin Funeral Home, Califon.
