I'm researching a Loyalist ancestor, too, but I'm not sure about the county.
Hunterdon, I think, so if you get any suggestions, I need them, also. I'm
looking for the John Woortman/Wortman that was declared a traitor by the
Committee for Safety in 1778. I think he went to New Brunswick with his
family in the 1783 Spring Fleet, but there were 5 or 6 men named John
Wortman in that area.
