Good Morning, Leslie Bouvier ~
I have Samuel[6] Lanning, b. c.1775 in Ewing Township, (then) Hunterdon
County, (Now Mercer), New Jersey, m. 18 January 1804 in Sussex County, New
Jersey, Margaret Kunkle, b. c.1779 in Ewing Township. Samuel[6] was a son
of Stephen[5], Jr. and Elsie (Reed) Lanning; Stephen[5], Jr. was a son of
Abigail[4] (Hart) and Stephen Lanning. Abigail[4] was a daughter of
Ralph[3] and Sarah (Furman) Hart; Stephen, Sr. was a son of Robert and
(unknown wife) Lanning.
Samuel[6] is named in a book on the lineage and descendants of Samuel
Reed[7] Lanning, but with no further information on his and Margaret's
children. The book, dated 1999, is by John R. Lanning: <
>.
I'm compiling a genny on the Harts, and there are many Lanning
inter-marriages. I'm not certain that I have further data on Samuel[6] and
Margaret, and right at this moment I dare not take the time to hunt through
my "stuff"... but if you'll be patient I will look when I get back from an
urgent trip to town... in a few hours.
Sincerely,
Alice Smith
