Dear Roz, You might also check whether he left the unit.My ancestor, Isaac
Aliby was also in this unit from 1775 until 1777.He was court martialled and
after they returned from Ticonderoga, he joined the British 2nd.New Jersey
Volunteers in 1778, a Loyaist unit. There were also many who desereted this
unit..Check out where the units fought and see if you can locate some pay
master records which still exist for Maxwell's units.yours, Stan Allaby
