Hi Vince,

I have a Catherine Stradling-no birth date or parents listed-married to a
John Wells b. 1757 in PA--son of Peter Wells and Susanna Brock of Chester
Co., PA. John and Catherine were married September 28,1783 in the Swedes
Church, Philadelphia, PA. This may be an earlier part of the family in PA.
This is not my Wells line that I know of yet so I don't have much more info
on it.

Subject: [NJHUNTER] STRADLINGs in Hunterdon - Late 1880's

Hi,

I just found, much to my pleasant surprise, a family I was seeking,
which moved
to Bucks County, PA, to Hunterdon County, NJ.

Here is the 1880 Census:

George STRADLING Self M Male W 39 NJ Works On Canal NJ NJ
Alabama STRADLING Wife M Female W 36 NJ Keeping House NJ NJ
Mary K. STRADLING Dau S Female W 13 NJ School NJ NJ

Raven Rock, Hunterdon, New Jersey
Family History Library Film 1254787
NA Film Number T9-0787
Page Number 32D

In reality, the child's full name was Mary Frances Xena STRADLING,
and her mom had been Alabama STOCKHAM.

Do you know anything of this family? Can you help me to know what
the name of the Canal was, referred to above? If you happen to have
census access, could you look up 1900 for me?

Thanks very much!

Vince Summers
