Dear Hunterdon County Researchers, I was wondering if anyone is close to the
Hunterdon Library or has access to two sources listed as there and
could/would be willing to do a look-up for me? Phyllis D'Autrechy, Some
Records of Old Hunterdon county and Kingwood Baptist Church Records,
1742-1823..for any Aliby(Allaby) records? My ancestor was Isaac Aliby from
Kingswood and I believe he was an Irish protestant, possibly Baptist who
fought initially for the Patriot side and was a spy for them against the
British but was courtmartialled in 1777-78 for leaving his post and then
fled to the British side where he fought with the 2nd. New Jersey Volunteers
until the end of the war..If anyone would check this out for me, I would
appreciate it.I am in Toronto, Ontario and would be willing to search here
for any name you needed help in locating.Thank you very much. Stan Allaby
