Both of these efforts are being done by volunteers who work on these projects as time allows. Bill
Hartman, along with a couple of other people, have been transcribing the Hunterdon Gazette. Part of
that effort includes making an index of names included in published articles. That index is
available on the Hunterdon County USGenWeb site, www.rootsweb.com/~njhunter Two CDs, with the
actual transcriptions from the Gazette, are available from the Hunterdon County Historical Society.
Instructions on ordering either of these CD can also be found on the Hunterdon County website. Each
CD has a decade of articles. Bill and his helpers are working on the third CD and hope to have it
available early next year.
Dennis Sutton was transcribing the Hunterdon County Democrat and publishing it at his website. His
website has not been updated recently and I do not know the status of Dennis's effort.
