My ancestors and a number of related families moved from Hunterdon Co. to the northern Kentucky area (mostly Mason Co.) in the 1790's to early 1800's. I believe they were mostly from the Hopewell area, and the surnames include Gordon, Stout, Runyan, Anderson, Donovan, Corwine, and Hart. I would really like to know something about their actual journey: why they left, how many went at a time, what route they took, etc. Does anyone have anything like this? I've looked in a number of places for this information in both KY and NJ, but no luck so far.
