Add the DeMott family to that list. In my family's case, there was bounty
land involved-given to two DeMott brothers who served in the Revolution from
New York (just learned this at the David Library in Valley Forge,
Pennsylvania; a great resource). At least three DeMott families apparently
migrated. I'd long wondered why the DeMotts disappeared from New Jersey.
